Hi all, I need some advice. Here's my situation: I submitted my spousal sponsorship app back in August 2011, never heard back from CiC until i called the Call Centre who said some documentation was lacking and I should receive my application back in the mail and to submit the missing info with the package, but the  package never arrived in the mail.

Now i received an email saying that if I don't submit the missing information along with the original application I will have to start all over again!! This is absurd since I have no way to locate the original application and yet CIC expect me to respond to their request but I won't be able to without having the original package. What to do? Do i really have to start from scratch? It was such a painful experience doing it all the first time around, any suggestions from anyone with a similar experience?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I suggest that you call your MP's office, too. Your MP's office should be experienced in dealing with CIC, and by law CIC has to respond to an MP's request within two business days.

(BTW, they'll ask you to fill in a form granting them the right to inquire on your behalf. You can run that into the MP's office to speed things up if you have to.)
