Aplied in April 2011 from USA - Still no Response till now! Is something Wrong

Hello Friends,

This is my first post in this forum. I did apply for Canada PR in the month of March 2011 from USA. My credit card was charged in month of April 2011 and in online status check, it says, "received by Visa Office".

I am not sure what does it mean? Does it mean, my initial check is done and it is in second phase. i am not familliar with different phases?

What should I except as next notification as it has been around 6-7 months and I have not received any further communication after that.

Please guide me about this. Also, people who have applied in March 2011 or after that, Do you have the same status or you have progressed to next level.

Any help is appreciated. I am under stress due to this thinking these days.
