I have heard that AOR is sent after 2 weeks once CIC encashes the cheque we send for $550.How true is this statement.Has anyone experienced this?

Not very, AOR could be 3/4 months after the application is received.  The first thing that CHC does is open the package and deposit the fee.

30 working days.  Roughly a month and a week.

AOR could be 3-4 months as PMM said. It depends on the presure in the CIC you submitted. In my friend's case (that submitted last year) he got his AOR after 4 months. Do not just beleive what they said on the web.

I applied to the buffalo office and looking at the pattern I believe they are gettign AOR's in 2 months now.Earlier it was a month or so. I guess Buffalo has also become busy.Lets see I don't know wat's in store.I know it's a long wait!!!!

AOR even original educational certificates are sent through normal post.

Original Certificates??? Did you mean that.  I would dvise sending Notarised copies rather original education certificate unless otherwise. Please ask solicitor to notorise them for you.

Please read the instructions,

"6. EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS
For you and your spouse or common-law partner:
• Post-secondary education documents: vocational or technical certificates or
diplomas;
• College or university documents: certification of completion and the
graduation degree, diploma, or certificate issued by the college or university and
the evaluation committee;
• Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in universitysealed
envelopes.
• Professional qualifications certificates: notarized professional qualifications
certificates should be submitted if available. (e.g., Engineer, Computer
Programmer, Accountant, Economist, Translator/Interpreter, Architect etc.)
