« on: November 21, 2009, 08:17:24 pm »

Hello,

is the AOR received after application to Nova Scotia, or after full application is submitted to local visa office?

Thanks

After you send you application to the CIO, if approved, you get a letter called "assessment letter" containing your file number and instructions to send your full application with the supporting documents to the local visa office within 120 days.
If refused, they send a refusal letter explaining the reasons and confirming the refund.

After you send your full application to the local visa office, they will send you an AOR letter confirming the recipt of your application and  containing your new file number and some instructions about the processing of your application.

This is the initial Process
* Send Documents to CIO
* If Approved 1st AOR
* Collect all Original/Notarized Docs to prove the points claimed in the initial application. and send it to CHC
* Receive 2nd AOR
* If approved then the e-case status changes to IN PROCESS and RPRF request
* If positive checks completed then status changes to MEDICAL REQUEST and Passport(sometimes)
* If positive then might be an interview or else PPR
Hurray visa received Smiley
Hope this helps.....

Hi PROFESSIONAL 1

Getting an AOR will not always ultimately result in PR.  It only shows that you are eligible.  However, after AOR, background checks are done of your employment and education, etc.  If all goes well alongwith medicals, you will be issued Visa and then PR.

Best of luck.
