AOR is Acknowledgment Of Receipt that is sent to you by your Visa Office as soon as they start working on your application after the 1st stage of sponsorship is approved by Mississauga and sent to them. In AOR they give you your file number that you can use to check the status of your application on e-cas.

But i got a letter that confirms me that im approved to be a sponsor. What i received is an approval letter to sponsor? So my wife in the Philippines who is my sponsored person will receive the AOR letter? is that what u mean? and she can log on to ecas as well as i do?

yes, you received a letter confirmation that your sponsorship was approved. now your wife will receive a letter confirming that they has started work on her application, and yes, she will have a file number that she can use to log into ecas and check the status of her application, the same like you do with your client number.
good luck!

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a concern if I haven't yet rec'd an AOR, although e-cas says "we started processing Nov. 4th"?

I figure the AOR should arrive a week or so after processing starts.

Thanks.
