Hello,

I received my AOR from Sydney, Australia yesterday. My timeline:

Applied to Nova Scotia 9 July 2009.
Received eligibility email 29 September 2009
Sent documents 17 November 2009
Received AOR 23 November 2009.

In their letter, they say that application can take 6-12 months from that office, but I have read about people who have received it a lot sooner.
Fingers crossed......

bkuper, you may correct me if i am wrong here.

HI

I got my visa in exactly 6 months, even though i have taken more then 40 days to sent documents in between the process( august, September), so ideally it should be less than 5 months.

Cheers

Hi Ja77,

I was surprised that there are 2 Sydney cities in the world, so it was a bit confusing at first.
So, yes my initial app went to Sydney Nova Scotia, but my closest procecssing office is Sydney Australia.

before the rules were changed last year and the new applicants were advised to send their applications initially to CIO, Sydney, i did not even know there is a "Sydney" in canada also Smiley. maybe my lack of information. anyway, looks like your local visa office is processing fast. good luck.
