Hi all,
I found out below info by emailing CIC so if anybody is in my shoes here's your answer!
As long as the AEO is in a skill level A, B, or O position and the visa officer is satisfied that the applicant is able to perform and is likely to accept and carry out the employment (taking into consideration the applicant's education and training, background and any prior work experience to determine of the applicant meets this requirement) then the case may proceed. The AEO must be accompanied by an offer (from the prospective employer) to employ the applicant on an indeterminate basis and the offer has the approved by an HRSDC opinion. The requirement for 12 months of experience in the past 10 years as a minimum is not the case for AEO type applications.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-employment.asp has information on AEO's and the onus is one your prospective employer to contact HRSDC to commence the process for the AEO on your behalf.
