"Pending review" just means that your application has not yet been processed by CIC. Once they process your application and/or find it eligible for processing, your ecas should change to "In process".

When your e-case status shows the link; "Receieved by Visa office" , click on that link, then you will see the details which say; your application is Pending Review at the visa office. The next step according to the order if your applicatin is eligible is the link "visa office eligibility complete" then "in process"

Do you have any letters written other than B before your file number from the local visa office? such as (PK) or (JD)....etc. so for example, the file number looks like this (PK) B###########

Hi Prof,
The only one I have was the letter with the file number stating to B and on top of it before its date was word UNCLASSIFIED, and the envelope has the file number as well with open close parentheses (AB&). What does it mean? Thanks.

Once it shows "in process" with a detail that further says " your application was reviewed and we started processing on xx-xx-xxxx, does this mean that you have passed the 67 points assessment stage?
Please reply. Thank you.
No, not yet. It just means that your application is eligible to be processed and processing has begun to assess your application against the 6 selection criteria;(work experince, education,......etc) to check whether you reach the pass mark 67. It means as well that no refund will be available if the application get refused.

I havent heard from London CHC after the AOR received from them. No request for additional documents nor any correspondence received from them since the AOR. Do you think to date, I have already passed the 67 points assessment stage? When will be the background checking starts? Last November 4, I sent them an enquiry fearing that there might be some correspondence that they have sent to me that was lost, but they replied that no correspondence was so far sent since AOR. Even if it will only be a speculation, your view on my case will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
