Anyone with e-cas "ER complete" and got NER after long wait, please come & HELP.

My app received on April 1st and My e-cas says :

Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on May 3, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Till now I didn't receive any PER/NER email and CIO did't gave me further info as usual..they say :
"Your application has been received by our office, and is currently awaiting review.  You will be contacted in due course.  A letter will be sent via the e-mail addresses provided on your application

many people who got PER after a long time say it is normal and e-cas status doesn't count!! CIO updates e-cas but you must keep checking your status , if it turns to Decision made you will definitely receive NER, otherwise you have to wait.....

so I would like to ask if anyone had similar situation and e-cas "ER complete" and finally got NER without changing to "Decision made"

I tried to investigate to understand what is ER complete about, I've contacted to some people on INT. spreadsheet and here is the result:

in my case I have applied before and I was rejected , I believe the decision (PER / NER) is not made yet and they may have to do further verification of some information or to seek a second opinion from a senior officer on some aspect of the forms that may not be clear cut to the reviewer...

you should ve gotten that email......in my case they sent the email to a wrong email id...(they took one alphabet in my email for another)...called their call center on +16139444000....they acknowldged that they had sent it to diff email and i got their email in couple of days....just an assumption that it can be the same thing happening in your case as well. but u should be ok since now they got to do all the rest...electronically transfer the file to VO>>>>VO contacts you for further processing....In my case i had to get it to know that i am eligible and be sure about the 120 day deadline to submit complete application....but u should give them a call and check your junk mail folder as well.

As far as I know, there is no such e-mail. I understood that some people get it and some other don't. So I am not expectin any email, I am jus waiting for my status to change to RBVO. As you know, I've been waiting for over 2 months.

Waiting for a PER..... no space for a NER in my life! LOL

no no, on Monday I received a reply from CIO, they gave me client ID and mentioned that my case is currently awaiting review, otherwise they should have said your case have received a positive decision or something like that...

as I said before most of applicants have received the email after 3 months, so you should still wait for 3rd month...besides, would you plz tell me if it is your first time that you apply or you applied also before?

As far as I know, there is no such e-mail. I understood that some people get it and some other don't. So I am not expectin any email, I am jus waiting for my status to change to RBVO. As you know, I've been waiting for over 2 months.

It is the fist time I apply for FSW

But, I had my Client ID from a previous application for another matter while I was living in Canada. Now I am in Mexico

as I said before most of applicants have received the email after 3 months, so you should still wait for 3rd month...besides, would you plz tell me if it is your first time that you apply or you applied also before?

I applied in Nov 2011 and got file number by email few days back and there is same information in Ecase as bistolfi49 and in email.

What I have read in EG7 Guide Page No. 37 from CIC is:

ELIGIBILITY REVIEW:
"An officer will make a final determination of eligibility of your application to determine whether:
your application qualifies for processing under one of the two categories described in the Ministerial Instructions
If your application qualifies for processing , you will be sent a letter that:
notifies you of this fact and provides you with your reference number,

If your application does not qualify for processing under the Ministerial Instructions you will be sent a letter that:
provides the reason why your application is not eligible for processing
confirms that a refund for the processing fee will be issued

Now whatever I have understood is that if the reference number is sent it means your case is eligible for processing.
I want to know is there anyone who got the reference number and later got rejected?

The answer is YES, i found some..mrni007 and infiant for example.
Infiant is rejected and ecas is  still ER complete!!

Rocky you didn't understand....mrni007 got NER after 5 days since ER COMPLETE was dated, it means that his status turned fro "Received application" to "ER Complete ..we sent you a letter on..." , after 5 days he got NER,
for infiant as well, his status was "received App." then he got NER, after 2 days his status turned to ER Complete ..we sent you a letter on..."

Eligibility Review Completed:

This means that your application qualifies/not qualify for processing under one of the two categories described in the Ministerial Instructions:

There are other step CIO looks after before submitting application to Visa Office and one of them is point calculation:

So after Completed Review Eligibility CIO may still refuse the application on the basis of insufficient points....

So the Applicants who are facing this problem should explain their claimed points to discuss what is going on with their applications...

A post AOR from VO rejection usually only occurs if there background checks reveal something which is not disclosed in the documents submitted or experience is not verified. usually AOR means your document review is complete and as per paper review u r eligible.

Contact CIO again - explain that you have not received their communication of 3rd May, and can they please confirm its contents?
