Anyone who sent Initial application on 01 Aug09 & got AOR or any reply from CIC?

Is there any body who sent there initial application on 01 Aug09 and already got AOR or any reply from CIC?

Mine arrived there 5th August. Not expecting to hear anything for a minimum of 3-4 weeks

Mine reached 1st aug09.That means have to wait 3/4 weeks more?

Yes I think so beginning of October! Mid July are starting to be processed but it's random. There are probably people still back in may/june waiting to hear. It seems to depend on what officer gets your the pile with your application in i.e. how quickly that officer processes things. But that's just the impression I get from reading posts here

Hi,

CIO received mine on 10 August. I am not expecting to hear anything before 1st week of October 09 at least. Is it worth asking the bank now whether DD has been encashed?

to anyone who just filed their initial application to CIO...note that they are rejecting the whole application if you accidentally put Sydney Nova Scotia in the VISA OFFICE REQUESTED for the process of your application...(IMM 0008)

my friend just received her rejection letter after 60 days saying that

"You did nto indicate the visa office requested for the process of your application. Please note Sydney CIO is not a valid selection"

I am just blessed that my application proceeded when i submitted it last May though it contains "Sydney Nova Scotia" in the visa office requested tab..

i told my friend to resubmit everything again to CIO and just change that tab to "Manila, Philippines"

I'm trying to contact with  my bank . But they show me a long process. I dont know whether i will get confirmation or not. coz reading this forum found some one getting AOR within one month. That means lots of application is submitted within june july...
