Hello,

I landed in Toronto on 21 July and I am now waiting to receive my PR Cards. It has been exactly 6 weeks and still have not received anything. The current CIC website says it takes about 43 working days to receive them (so 8 weeks and 3 days).
I was wondering if anyone can share their timelines regarding the following:

Landing Date/City: 21-Jul-2011 (Toronto)
PR Receipt Date (if so): waiting

This is the last step for us and I cannot wait to see my face on the beautiful PR cards. Thanks for sharing the info.

 Cheesy

Sorry to hear that after waiting long to see the beautiful Canadian visa page on your passport, now you are again waiting for the PR Card.
6 to 8  weeks time is standard and also consider delays in post.

If you don't see it in your mail box till next week end, talk to Call Center.

You can use your immigrant visa only once, so if you have landed in June 2011, they must have cancelled the visa upon your arrival. Now you need PR card for landing. You need to arrange to get your PR card from your friend now before you travel to canada.

For your daughter, call the call centre to find out why her card has not reached you. If they say it is a problem with photo or something else and they have not issued the PR card then you need to take her to their centre in person. To get your daughter back in Canada you would need to apply for her PRTD in your home country consulate.
