Progress update from my side.

They sent an email yesterday telling us that they are "ready to issue your application for a Study Permit" for my fiance. We rushed through to Pretoria to collect it but apparently ready to issue does not mean that we can actually collect it yet, so we will have to wait further.

I have been told that I must apply for a visitors visa, they won't give me an open work permit.
However I can't do this yet because I need to know the entry dates for my fiances study permit first before I can apply for the visitors visa(Otherwise the dates might not match up).
As usual they are not replying to my emails asking about this and a few other details, so I guess my only option is to wait again.

Thanks god for that i guess  i just have to be patient so sorry to hear that its so unfair its your human right to be with someone you love expectially you engaged your common law partner as long as you can prove relationship its sad to hear but these canadian migration process is rigid !! And long their communication channel is inconsistence so what you can just do is to make contigent plans anyway in anycase you have no choice but to apply for visitor visa  based on what they issue ya work permit ?

i believe no interview is a good thing because they do want your passport. It means they are going to stamp in your visa and your application is fine so no need to interview anything that they might suspect in your application. What do others think.

I am not an expert at Canadian Immigration.
Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon

There is no guarantee that they will ask for an interview at all.
