Iam planning to take a home stay accommodation initially, then planning for a shared apartment. (but first, All depends on the visa  )

Hey jay_leo21 , congrats on ur visa .

U can try contacting Georgian college and ask for accommodation procedure, airport pickup, as u have got the visa.
I heard Georgian College will be closed December 24th until January 1st for the holiday season.,
we need to confirm about their Airport pickup. If they are available to pick us up during this period  .

I am planning for a homestay initially till i get a shared accommodation.
If u guys have any more information, please do post it

Have they mentioned 2nd jan or 9th jan as course start date?
They have mentioned 2nd jan on my offer letter, but 9th jan, is what is mentioned else where on their website.
whats on ur offer letter ?

Thanks Vark & Singh pajji.... Yes it is true that on our offer letters it is mentioned as 2nd Jan as start date but the actual classes start on 9th Jan. It is mandatory that all International Students attend Student Orientation Program from 5th Jan to 8th Jan. Can anyone help me finding accommodation in Barrie please, I want to stay with Indian students:)

hey bros my offer letter also states 2nd jan as d start date bt i think that could be the start of the new session n perhaps d classes 2 be held after d orientation session i.e. on 9th.
hey jey u should contact the offcampus housing contacts mentioned in the brouchers n i suggest i should do as soon as possible.
v ll join u there.at this point of time v r waiting 4 d visa. if nything i get to know i will convey u imeediately.ok. v all indians are a family abroad.

It works out cheaper to hire a 1 bed room or 2 bedroom apartment and share it with 3 or 4 ppl.
1 bedroom apartment in Toronto where my friend stay pays C$.1050 he shares the place with 2 others . {ie(1050/3 = 350$ per head)}.

He said, we must be able to find a cheaper apartment in barrie somewhere around 800$ -900$ permonth and share it.
I am still apprehensive about accomodation till i get the Visa 
Meanwhile i will try to collect some information, if anything important i will let u guys know about it
