Hi,

I was in US on Student visa almost for 2 years. Now am applying for Skilled worked visa, currently am waiting for 1st AOR. Does anyone get the Police certificate from the FBI ? How long does it takes ? Should I start the process of getting the same right now ?

I got my from FBI within 7 weeks.But I've seen in some cases it takes up to 13-14 weeks.So Better if  You apply

 when i submitted my initial application thats the time i sent my fbi application also & took 4mos to rcvd d report (first fingerprint was accepted). so better to apply asap & do the fingerprinting at your  state police dept.

I was preparing my documents according to the old rule..........than suddenly it changed and I submitted everything except FBI report, according to the new rule. My FBI report was mailed to me last month, and according to the new rule it is valid only for 3 months. My CC was charged 2 weeks ago. Now I am in dillemma, what should I do? Should I apply for new FBI report? How long it will take to send my complete documents to Visa Office?

Because once you apply for FBI report, its gonna take 12-13 weeks to get it back. Anybody in a similar situation, or with any ideas.

Hi,
Check if you may be required to submit a state clearance record apart from FBI.

I'm in the USA, I got in 2and half weeks, within 17days (including sat-sun) after they recieved my courier.

Hi  Friends,

I stayed in US peroiod  of 3 months each , I am asked to submit the FBI clearance & PCC from MA. I got the PCC from MA(massachussets) with in 2 weeks , but I am waiting for the FBI clearance.  I applied for FBI PCC on October 17th, but I did mistake of putting visa debit card number instead of credit card number. I got a letter from Nov 26 that I need to fax them credit card number. I will do it in next working day. I asked them the processing number , they are still telling 6-8 weeks( I think it may not be).
I am praying & waiting.
Another issue facing guys from India  is return envelop, Fedex or DHL no body is providing self addresed envelop. I put my brother's address who  is in US.
Moral of story is
If you apply for CANADA PR, even if you stayed in US only for one hour , Apply for FBI for PCC  when you  are waiting for File Number ,it will cost you some  $25(1000 INR).
Do not commit mistakes by giving VISA DEBIT CARD instead of VISA CREDIT CARD

I will keep you posting my mistakes(status)
