My girlfriend and I are planning to get married in the very near future and start the inland process. She is from the Netherlands and I am a citizen. Any tips?

Unless you wish to waste a lot of time do an "outside Canada" application with your spouse in Canada.  A lot faster.

In most cases it is a lot faster to do outland, but Berlin is really slow these days so we'd probably be all done in a shorter amount of time doing inland.
