Hi

I'm wondering if anyone has applied under FSW3 category while in Canada (and currently are still in Canada)...

If yes... what is your timeline?

I sent my full documents to Buffalo April 28, 2010 and received the 2nd AOR via snail mail dated May 11, 2010 (2 weeks)...

How long till I hear from them that my application is under process...??

I applied under FSW-3 and my docs were received at Buffalo Consulate on 29 March 2010. Haven't received 2nd AOR yet. Done three follow-up and got a reply that their time line for AOR is 30 weeks (ridiculious). My PG work permit has expired and I have returned to my home country.

Under FSW-3, you are allowed to leave Canada on expiry of your visa (BUT NOT UNDER FSW-2). Visa office doesn't change. It remains the same.

Cheers...

Buffalo took almost 2months for sending AOR to me. i saw people under FSW1 cat got their AOR in less than a week from Buffalo. i doubt Buffalo intentionally taking time in processing FSW3 cases.

and all recent applicants applied to Buffalo and status changed to inprocess or file transferred to other VO's are from FSW1. this is the frustrating thing because i was expecting that FSW3 cases are processed quickly as we are already in Canada, but looks like it is going the other way.

lets hope for the best

Hi

I am a graduate student in Canada (3rd year),
I wonder what should I say inl the SCHEDUL 3 form question 7 and 8?

7. Have you completed a program of full-time of at least 2 years.....(I'm in my 3rd year but I haven't COMPLETE my program yet)

8.Have you worked full time in canada....I am RA/TA (80hours biweekly)...I wonder if I can both full time student and full time worker....

I answered NO to both questions when I was sending them to CIO but now I am sending the new forms to Buffalo...

Thanks in advance

Hi Becksterd, Balu, Vermas & PRwait,

Please count me in on this thread. You can see my timeLine below.. I agree with PRwait that Buffalo VO seems taking priority those FSW1 & FSW 2 for I read from the other thread that some of those applicants under FSW1 & 2 categories are now receiving reply from Buffalo informing them that their papers are now 'In Process'.. However, I read one of our fellow FSW3 that he got a reply from them advised him that his application is now on queue and awaiting visa officer's final determination. Then, he was advised that the processing will take up to 16 weeks to be completed
I will try to search that thread again and I will get back with the link so that everybody may read it.

Thanks everyOne for starting this thread.

Take care and God Bless us all.
