anyone applied in Feb - 2007 in malaysia CHC???????

Hi i have applied in Malaysia CHC on 26 feb 2007.
I sent updated documents on 23 june 2009 which is requested by CHC on 1 April 2009.
I want to know how long it will take to finalize my case?

Hi Kayal,
Are you saying that VO office is holding your passport? From my understanding, KLVO usually returns passport with visa on the same day i.e. same day collection if passport is submitted in the morning.

Hi Androse,

No - I am awaiting PP request - after my medicals in June 2011, I was asked to take further tests - the reports have gone again in Sep 2011 - now in PPR waiting stage.

btw, thats good to hear that it is the same day service

I am a foreigner in Malaysia and hence in a crucial stage where our Malaysia visa is due for renewal soon and wondering about PP being locked with KL VO.

Do let me know if they ask for your PP

I am also waiting for PPR. Medical was done in April.

I am just wondering how long did it take KLVO to let you know that you need another test after the first one? Can you let me know?

I am also hoping that others who have applied through KLVO can share their timeline. I have read previous posts from Malaysia and noticed that many of them get their PPR after about 2 or 3 months eventhough I saw someone who waited more than 5 months to get hers.

I am one of those who have waited almost 6 months now. Don't know what's going on.

hi Androse,

My first test was taken on 10th June, 2011 and sent by around 13th to S'pore - they sent a letter very quickly on 21st June asking for further tests (x-ray, sputum culture for 12 weeks and to repeat x-ray again after Sep15th) - those were all sent again on Sep 20th.

You may check with your DMP if the reports have gone and are they normal - just to be peaceful that the reports are fine.

the staff nurse with my DMP dint reveal anything - I checked directly with my radiologist after x-ray.

I did check with my DMP and was told that they sent if on a date in April and was received by Singapore.

From what I read, if Medical Received is not showing on e-cas, it means that Ottawa has not 'seconded' the medical results. But then again, we should not rely on e-cas 100%. It's always not accurate. So, I'm not sure at what stage it is at the moment.

I saw that you have also contacted past members who applied from KLVO but no one responded. We'll just hope someone does. I too want to know the process badly.

You can also try trackitt. It's got about 9 members from Malaysia. Most of the cases are old. But at least it gives you an idea on their timeline.

Hi Androse,

I repeated my medical tests and sent the reports by Sep 20th - since I heard no news from them, I went in person to Kuala Lumpur VO in person yesterday.

First the lady in the counter said they will email or send a post if any - i insisted on knowing some timeline - so she went in and checked with someone and an other lady asked if I had sent all the repeated medical reports - I was wondering if it ever reached them and got worried - after a while, the lady came back and gave me an envelope and the freshly printed letter in it said that the visas are ready to be issued and wanted me to submit the PP with 4 photos and the DD and said that if we submit by 10 am, we can collect the PP back the same day at 2 pm....we will be doing it early next week... it was quite a pleasant shock for us - there was not a line as "welcome to canada or congrats" - but later they wished us Happy Diwali

Androse - keep me posted - is your process also with KL or have they moved nowadays to CIO - I belong to the pre June 26, 2010 bunch - are you also in the same lot? If KL - you can visit them in person. I drove from Penang - it was worth the drive in the heavy rain ))
