Hi, yes we live in Melbourne and here is our timeline

Applied July 2009
Application processed in Nova Scotia September 2009
Details sent to local Australian Embassy Nov 2009
Medical request April 2010

We also applied in CHC, Sydney visa office. It appears quicker for someone I know (within 6 months visa stamped) but for me its over 8 months still waiting as "In-process". It seems time along with my life just hanged up!!! Below given my time line

Applied : July 2009
CIO initial assessment : Aug 2009
Full docs sent : Dec 2009
Second AOR : 11 Jan 2010
In process   :  26 Feb 2010
Interview : ?
Med Req  : ?

All applicant applied through Visa office Sydney, Australia Pl join in this forum and share your time line and experience..... I know there are plenty applicant at CHC, Sydney and can understand like other visa offices workload at sydney must be getting heavier than before which might have making delay in processing. Just my guess.... comments and sharing welcome.... Its really great to listen to some of yours success stories in this process and also some cautionary notes through your useful sharing.... So please come up with more voices and participation here to keep and make this forum catchy..... thnx to u all
