Anyone applied from Syria(Damascus) office and got medical request with new rule

Hello everybody,

I received my CSQ on april 2009 & then sent the file for visa immigration to damascus office on 26 may 2009 but got no reply up till now.. when do u think i should receive the file number??
& please could someone explain to me whats an AOR & Ecas??

Damascus very quick in processing application but I had sponsored my husband through family member but all i can they very fast with the process

AOR received May 17, 2009 but dated April 29, 2009
Additional documents requested June 14, 2009
Documents sent June 24, 2009
Passport requested July 12, 2009
Pick up Passport after it was lost for a few day July 28, 2009

Application to Nova Scotia feb 09
their response 12 Feb 09
I sent the documents about mid march
reply of Damascus 26 may09,
status in process since 5 Aug 09
and I am still waiting for my medical forms,
how long do you think does it take?

hi irgyn,
regarding the waiting time for the medical forms, well i'm just gonna tell u how it went for me,
i applied to quebec and got my csq...all that was left is the federal part which is first the security check followed by the medical as u know....as i've applied in damascus, ive been waiting for my medical forms for about 17 months now...last time i asked , they said they're very busy with so many files that it's taking them a lot of time to open new files, knowing that mine isnt new at all....
i hope u're not gonna wait that long but this is how it goes in damascus....

When damscus has replied in May26th, what was the Ecase Status?? was it Recieved by visa office??

the reason i'm asking is I sent my docs to CHC sep 7th, and staus was changed on 22nd to Recieved by visa office and till now its still the same status.

do they update E -Case status every Tuesday??

yes i do live in dam and im a syrian national but i ve applied as a QSW so my case is different. it usually takes 2 to 3 months to have ur status changed so b patient. Good luck

The funny thing is that I too applied for CSQ in December 07 like you did, and got my medical tests on 14th of November 2009, and today finished all the tests (took me 1 week in all). So now i will just have to send them updated police certificate and "2ekhraj 2ayd" (sorry for arabic to english translation) and after that we should wait for the PR confirmation letter no?

How long should that take, I mean after we do the medical tests? my friends told me between 1 and 3 months usually to get the VISA.

Hi everybody..

Im a Lebanese citizen. I recieved CSQ in 16 Dec 08 and new file # in 23 Feb 09.. and since then i have been waiting untill 28 sep 09 when they ordered police certificates and some security documents. Im expecting the medicals soon.. When do you think they should order the med's ?

well i'm fluent in french and that makes me qualified for living in Quebec.it rises my chances to get selected by quebec and this is what really happened but it's the federal that's taking a lonnnnnnnng time...

id like to share with u my application experience and in same time have some advice and help from you here ....
am a moroccan guy am living in kuwait so i have applying for a QSW to quebec by my lawyer there in montral
it was in decembre 2008 , so i have gote my CSQ  at august 17,2009 .
now my lawyer have asking me some file for second step ( fedirale ) hope i can have some information about that step from you here
and one more thinks if i have accepted as permanante immigrant ( inshalah ) where i will get stamping the visa ? ( damascus ? ) or where ?

hope to have some help from you friend here
and i promise to get u updating from my statut
