I am from the same NOC - Construction Manager but i am not Indian.
My case is pending for more than 15 months, it appears that the NOC 0711 isn't in top demand, rather the IT profession is on peak under NOC 0111.
Lets wait and see when the construction demands comes up in Canada.

hii Biblo..
I think in our category there are very few persons who are applying. May be this category is not much in demand but Canadian Govrenment has included this in 38 top categories which shows that they need people from our profession. Can you elaborate your local CHC , which country you belong and your timeline (your date of applictaion at Nova Scotia, your date of AOR etc.) Also please let me know that what is average time for immigration in other categories so that we can compare. Please keep this thread active so that we can remain in touch. Thanks.. Harsh

Dear Harsh, I am under the London CHC working in Middle East, and my time line is
Initial Application July 08 AOR Sent in Sep 08 Start Processing Oct 08 Doc Requested Dec 08 Complete Doc Sent Mar 09 waiting for medicals.
I think that they have sufficient guys to assist them in Vancouver winter Olympic 2010 so they are not pushing the 0711 category. I am not aware of anyone else under this category applied or approved for Medical from Middle East at London CHC.

hii barsindoo..
Best of Luck to you...
generally we receive AOR after 30-40 days. Wait and Patience is key in this game.
Be in touch and inform us after getting AOR.
I am sorry to ask that where is Accra?

I have applied under 0711 but I dont think an NOC will have an effect on how long my application may take to be processed.
As long as you have a year's worth of experience under any NOC from the list of 38 your application will get considered at ita turn in the queue.

One good news is that Construction Managers job is not regulated under any Authority in Canada, so there are high chances that we find jobs at starting.
