Hi,

I received medical request few days back. I have been asked to submit fresh PCC  also.

Last time it took almost a month to get PCC since my passport was not issued from Bangalore. And my original passport was with Regional passport office until they issued PCC.
I booked an appointment for medical on 10th of July and the hospital asked me to bring original passport for medical.

But my passport will be with passport office at the time of medical. Not sure whether passport seva kendra will withhold my original with them. Did anyone faced this problem? Can you suggest any alternative solution?

Please advice. Thanks

Hey!
We got our PCC from Commissioner Office in Bengaluru and nobody took our passport away. They gave receipt where it was clearly mentioned when to come to collect PCC. But make sure you have 6 photos or more they asked for many photos not sure now how many.

Is there a way to track the passport at local post office? Since CIC does not provide any tracking number or does not even send a communication after the passport is dispatched, applicants are absolutely clueless about the passport till the time they receive it.

now a days after DM, passport comes within 2 days so only option is to contact your local Post Office and get hold of a guy who takes care of your area.

Thanks for your response. My e-cas status is still in-progress with additional notes that medicals have been received. Since e-cas is not updated regularly, there have been instances where passport is received before DM status (it happened with one of my friends). Anyways, I will track the passport only after e-cas is updated. Thanks again.

Did my landing on Lansdowne (1000 island bridge) on Saturday. The whole process took around 30 minutes and was very smooth and friendly.
Next Sunday i travel back to US. Lets see how that crossing goes!!

Thank you, mni.

So now I am back in US. Crossing the border back into US was also trouble free. There was one slight hitch though. My parents were also with me and they were on visitor visa. However, they still had the I95 record from their 2007 visit stapled to their passports. Apparently this implies that they never left US in 2007 and had been staying there illegally. However, the officer said that he will assume we did not know what to do about the card and went on to explain that returning the card is OUR responsibility and that he has noted in the system that we have been informed about this now and issued new I95 forms. My parents will need to return these to the Canada Border Services when they go back into Canada in another month's time.

Anyway, all izz well now.

Dear all,

Could anybody on this forum, who has successfully immigrated through the Federal Skilled Worker program, please reply. I have some important questions to ask. And this is a bit urgent.

Thanks,
Ishan
