Thanks very much matlal for offering your help. I need some information regarding police clearance certificate. My Question is can the local format for finger prints are accepted by FBI USA? What all ways we can get PCC? I checked Passport office queue in bangalore and you will get appointment minimum after 1 month, so can I just directly go to police commissioner's office and submit the PCC request?

Dear Matlal, I understand the role of consulate bcoz i've been asked to personally meet the Russian consulate officer to get my pcc. but What is the role of Passport Office here. What can one get from passport office here in bangalore. As far as i know i just have to take finger prints from one's local police station and courier it to the respective country to get their pcc.
