Anyone who were lucky enough to get medicals ?

My guess is most quotas are full up for this year in most visa offices. I thought I'll start this  thread so we all can keep a track of the movement of cases awaiting medicals.

I submitted full docs in April 2010, IN PROCESS since May 2010. NOC 4121

38 occupations is MI-1 not MI-3 as I understand.

what is your visa office?

many are waiting for MR. I got mine in May 2011 (many other got it in May/June/July etc) and now I'm waiting for PPR.

one way to find out if your application did not make it for consideration in the current year is to ask for application status from your VO. If there is a canned reply that mentions something like this then most likely it would be considered in 2012:

CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the review of applications throughout the year.

We do not anticipate that we will begin to process federal skilled worker applications from [INSERT MONTH/YR RECEIVED BY VO] during the current calendar year.  If we are able to initiate processing earlier, we will contact you.

My Visa office is Colombo. Sent a few case specific inquires with no replies. Finally ordered CAIPS. The BF'D had past by a few months. As for CAIPS PSDEC=1 and points calculated the past BF'D was for SEL. So basically i'm trying to calculate a rough timeline as to when medicals would be. The allocated quota for Colombo is 500 for 2011. So most likely it will be next year. Any thoughts?

Who knows?Huh Colombo only looking after Maldives and Sri Lanka, so I think there is still chance....

Hi Marvik

Yeah.... would be great to see some type of movement for pre-june applicants from Colombo who fall under MI1. I'm hoping that will get medicals at least towards the end of the year. This means if all goes well we can be sure of the visa in 2012. Anyway all the best and keep in touch
