Hi Qorax,

Hope you are doing well!
I am new to this forum. I have 2 questions for which I need your opinion.
I have applied under Noc 1111 in Feb10 and I have been to US for 1 year on L1A visa for direction and management in Accounts and Finance.
1. I want to know if IO gives any importance if someone has previously worked in North America like US. Will it be considered as an
additional  positive sign to the file that an applicant is already having a American accounting experience.
2. Is MBA from IGNOU, considered for points or not?

Thanks in advance!

No additional or Positive  consideration for Canadian PR against US work experience
You IGNOU degree may give you points, but educational points are bit subjective and Visa officers allot them based on his local knowledge of education system. If 15 hours per week study can be proved from your documents then you will get points for it for sure

Home Canada,
Before I post my comments let me make it clear that I am not against you coming to Canada.

Since you are in L1A, it will be faster to get a US GC (about 6 months) than a Canadian PR. As a L1A visa holder, you do not have to file for PERM and the priority date is always current and you do not have to wait longer to get your US GC.
