well lets wait till it been 6 month since they start the process of the Visa according to what they said there standard time is 6 month so lets wait and see mr-canada in sep it will be 6 months for my visa process.

Just received an email from the embassy and asking for my passport and new UAE police certificate.
attached is a letter and an opening statement of
WE ARE READY TO ISSUE YOUR VISA(S).
YOUR VISA(S) WILL EXPIRE ON 11 MARCH 2011
after almost 16 mo's of waiting it finally arrives.
I'm still here in Canada for my 6wks visit and can't ask for more with this wonderful news together with my new born baby!

@ Mrs Canada,
My wife sent our application in
March 2009
- 4th wk of March sponsorship application was approved
- April 26 2009 -abu dhabi email me Acknowledgment letter and started processsing our application
- april 26, 2009 - ask to complete IMM5549E
- Nov 30, 2009 - request additional photo's and Residency questionaire
- Dec 2, 2009 - request for proof that sponsor is living in Canada (Because during this time my wife is living with me in UAE from Nov upto Feb 2010 based from the info that i put in the residency questionaire
- Febuary 23, 2010 - My wife came back to canada to send necessary documents requested
- March 1 2010 - Fedex tracker indicated successful delivery to Canadian embassy Abu Dhabi
- April 26, 2010 - follow by mail regarding our file on it's 12 Mo's
- April 29 2010 - Embassy replied they havent receive the document requested
- April 29 2010 - inform them by email that we sent it already and gave them copy of proof of delivery
- June 21 2010 - embassy inform us they lost our documents and request toscan and send them ASAP
- June 22 2010 - Send requested documents
- August 18 2010 - received email attached a letter requesting for passport , passport photo's and UAE police clearance
on the letter it says
WE ARE READY TO ISSUE YOUR VISA(S).
YOUR VISA(S) WILL EXPIRE ON 11 MARCH 2011
Dear Applicant:
We are ready to issue the visa that entitles you to enter Canada. We need to place a sticker (the visa) in your passport and in the passports of the members of your family members who are included in your application, if applicable.

hey zeeshee, i checked my ecas, but no change... shows everything just as always...... 1 line saying .. hte file is in process from XXXX i feel soo sad to see that applicants who have submitted apps after us...... and much later than us .... are all getting their visas..... and we are stuck just there.... with no movement on our files.... no PPR .... no nothing this is sooooooooooooooooo not fair............... godddddddddd plsssssssss help us get visas................ fastttttttttttt.................. this wait is sooooo not bearable.............. mrs. canada |

Hey guys! I submitted my passport last sunday Aug 29, 2010 and I receive it today Thursday Sept 2, 2010 through ARAMEX.
passport is enclosed on a big envelope which contains pictures and cards that we submitted as proofs as well as landing papers.
With regards to ECAS I noticed that even they already requested for my passport and the fact that visa is stamped on it. I dont see any changes on my status it is still in process heheheh...maybe thats the same reason you dont see any updates from you guys
Anyway I wish you all the best and hopefully you wont wait the same period Gillani and I have experienced.
I was also in your situation wishing it to be done in 6mo's based from the acknowledgement letter from the embassy however months after months have passed and I just get used to it.
