Hi Guys, Have you guys thought how would you move your personal belongings like TV to Canada...:-)

I am no expert,...
Australia’s Digital TV system is based on the European DVB-T standard, adapted to local requirements.
Canada uses the ATSC standard, meaning it is not likely to be able to receive any TV channels.
Maybe you could use it as a monitor only, assuming it will use 110 volts.

Maybe selling the TV would be a better option, unless you can get it into your carry on bag Smiley

No idea about the possible answer though!!!
This month on 26 it will be a year (52 weeks) since my case started processing at Sydney.....Still waiting for PPR..... It indicates the current scenario of backlog of the fast track system.................

Sometimes with getting someone's update news give us a feeling like the journey train might have started moving along.... but our hope turned down as all the same as before from the day after............

Anyway nothing really we can do it about other than to wait......wait .... n wait......

CONGRATS VictoriaM,
When did your ECAS changes to "Medicals have been Received"?after ME step.
One week after I received the VISA from them.  Embarrassed
They added following two together:
"Medical results have been received.
"A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Hi guys,

I think CIC Sydney won't update medicals in Ecas until you are to receive a visa soon. I did medicals on August 2010 and they confirmed that my medicals had been received but my Ecas is still showing in process as of today.

Cheers

I agree with D. 6 weeks after the ME had been done, I sent fax and email to inquire whether they got the medical results, they didn't reply.

Yes Victoria.. its really been devastating out here... the beautiful and neat city is like a disarray and massive mess leaving heartbreaking scene lot to do to for those lost their precious and furnished home...... too much shocking...
Fortunately we have been in a suburb didn't affected with influx of flood.... Thanx for asking anyway
Take care
Good to hear that you were not affected by the terrible flooding.
Wish you get your passports request letter soon!!!

I agree that selling the TV would be a better option as in australia TV uses 240 volts  and in Canada it uses 110 volts. Same reason for wash machine, refrigirator and many others which use 240 volts only.
Most computers and game machines would be ok because they usually use 110~240 volts.

Thanks V... Yes its going to be a whole year since my file started with processing at Sydney CHC and still waiting for PPR... Re E cas update as in most CHC updates upon the medical report received but as you and D said Sydney won't... Its just a bit extra worry to get confirm about Med result.. Otherwise I will do what D and you did (sending query after 6 wks of IME done)
When are you planning to land? Which city you landing to?
All the very best V
