Hi guys,
I have a question regarding Superannuation. I have been in oz for 8 years now(have oz passport) and have around 20 k super. Does anyone know if it can be withdrawn upon prooving that you are leaving the country permanently. Has anyone done it or have enquired?

Hi ash,
It's very easy, if you go ATO's site and there is option for people who are leaving country permanently... You just need to fill d prescribed form and you have to take it to d immigration to show them that you r going to Canada permanently and then I think they will send some information to ATO to release your super...they gonna deduct certain amount of money and rest they will send you as direct debit to overseas account or as money order....
I think this information might give u some idea...

Thanks Chazza. My scnerio is different because I am Aussie Citizen, looking at the above link and other sources on google, it appears the ones who are temporary in the country can claim it back while leaving.
Anyways, i can still claim it at retirement or there must be a way . I will call them up and find out.

Other than that , I have applied for my police clearance from Australia and India yesterday. Once I get those and supply them to immigration, should get MR (as per there letter).
Can anyone tell me how long does it take to get Indian Police Clearance? Bit worried about it, looking at the time on there website. They are saying it may take upto 2 months?

Hi guys my UCAS shows "in process" now but on clicking that it shows the same old sentences which is "We received your application for permanent residence on May 13, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 5, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Sydney Australia office. They are pending review."
Does any body have any idea about this. Is it really in process or does it mean something else?
your input will be highly appreciated.

Hi Kevin,

Just wait until the VO added another line in your ECAS saying reviewed and started processing with a date on it, then MR will follow soon after 3 weeks and you will receive it on your mailbox.

Hope this will bring light on your case.  Just have some patience and you'll receieve a MR.

Cheers.
