Just wondering who applied as LPN, Noc 3233.... I mailed my application a few days ago under the student stream. I worked 3 part time jobs in the last 18 months, a total of 2,200 hours. I only received one job description (duties, responsibilities etc) from one past employer. But the other 2 jobs were in the same field, worked under the same license but different companies; their letters contain only the salary and total number of hours. I hope they know that most LPN's have similar duties and responsabilities in all fields.

i am exactly in the same boat as u are. Below is my letter from one of my employer of whom i worked most hours: pls share urs if u dont mind

To whom it may concern.

This letter will confirm that Ms.........has been employed with the above named company on a part time basis since June 2009. she was hired as a psw to which she carried the role until december 10, 2010. Her duties include, providing assistance to clients with activities of daily living, basic personal care and meal preparation.

Ms...... further pursued her career in nursing and soon obtained her license as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario. She began her role as a Registered Practical Nurse  with ....... in December 11, 2010. As an RPN, she is regulated by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Her duties include, but not limited to, assessing patients, administering medications and treatments.

Her annual salary from 2009 to 2011 is as follows:

psw                                                                   RPN

2009-      $2,390                                                  Nil
2010-       $9,763                                                 $690
2011-         NIL                                                     $27,493
YTD                                                                   $12,217.14

Currently Ms..... works on an average of 48 hours bi-weekly at the rate of $23.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay. Statutory deductions are made at source.
Should you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned

This is all they could write for me and i was convinced by the director that the letter will satisfy immigration and she said that as an RPN, i am covered and good to go. I am thinking of attaching copy of main duties printed from the company website but a friend told me that this letter is good as it is. I made a total of 1757hrs from this company and have since completed the rest of the hours from other ones. And yes, i am under post graduate work permit.. I am still waiting to get letters from the rest of the employer... pls keep me updated regarding urs.. All the best

One letter states:

"This letter will confirm that ______ was an employed at this facility from ____ to ____. She was employed as Casual LPN in our Hospital and also was a member of HEU, Hospital Employee's Union.
Hourly rate pay     $24.01
Total numbers of hours      286
If you require any further information, please contact me. "

Other letter:

"Ioana's current employment information at Edmonton General Hospital is as fallow:
Position:      LPN
Department:  8Y
Status: Permanent Part time
Full- Time Euivalency:  0.76 FTE
Hours: 29.45 pe week
Date of hire: 6 Mar 2012
Hourly Salary: 23.73

____ worked a total of 394 hours. Should you require additional info, contact Human Resources at______

And the 3rd one is similar. I attached one LPN description which I printed out from my current employer's website, but I dont have a formal letter with my name on it. And as I said I only have attached one LPN descrription out of my 3 jobs. I hope everything will be OK.  Huh All best tou you! When are you going to apply?
GOOD LUCK!

I think ur letters are fine but they should have included ur annual salary as well but generally, LPN is a regulated  and very popular occupation and I believe that our duties are generally known by everyone. I will attach a printed main duties from my company website as well and my application will be ready to go by first week of July. All the best to us..

ujbaby, since you are yet to submit your application, you should include an explanation for jobs where you could not get a reference letter and ofcourse, include your ROE, T4s and NOA. Best of luck!

SenoritaBella, Do you know if we send extra documents after the initial application was mailed, what are the chances they will add it to ther rest of the documents. They received my application June 19, and today I sent another mail with a copy of my LPN provincial license, a correction of my Generic Form, and payment form which I forgot to attach to my bank draft, and a business card of my current employer. I also included a letter that explains what I missed in my application. Do I risk to get my application returned? Need advice...

I know that some members have done that and their applications were not returned. The key is to label the package appropriately - name, date of birth, client ID, etc so that an officer can locate your original application package with ease. All you can do for now is wait and hope that you receive the AOR soon.
