i applied in Nov 2009 and CIO Nova Scotia got my appli. on NOV 10, 2009 [as per fedex site].
no reply from them yet.

How much time do they usually take? 5/6 months??

Some things have changed for me.... i just hav to wait to hear form them right? if i get thru then for fianl appli to london i hav to update my info right?

I send my FSW application (NOC-0711) to Sydney NS November 2nd 2009, and today they charged my credit card, so maybe I receive a letter in a 1-2 weeks.

Hi All

I have been looking in for a while now and to let you know I also applied in Nov - received on the 5th.  I received envelope today with my documents returned Sad
Still determined to go though as I have LMO and job offer NOC 4151 (I did not have my LMO but only job offer on applying and they are asking for the LMO which I intend to return tomorrow)
However I have a quick question from the more experianced people here -(please direct me to diff thread if need be)
I have read and re-read the immigration site and I beleive I can apply for temporary work permit on arrival with the LMO and Job offer.
If some one can enlighten me please, I will get on a plane tomorrow!

Hi Fiona, I'm sorry to hear the bad news, Why did you get your package back?.

And yes you can apply for a work permit  whether you have a LMO and a job offer. Take a look to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-how.asp
