any one can suggest when exactly bank statement will be required? i have to show 20K USD in my account and the statement should be 3 months old right?

Knight, bank statements will be needed at two instances. When you submit the full application to the Visa Office after your initial application is approved. And, when you land in Canada once you are given the visa. You need to provide 6 months statement but, showing the balance for 3 months should be OK in my understanding. Thank you. |

Knight, if you are confident your application will be approved, its advisable to apply for IELTS right now in order not to waste time. Otherwise, you might delay the process by the visa office waiting for your application.

Well, the only update I have at my end is, I received my IELTS score today and I got total band of 8. Hopefully I should get all 16 points for language.

Hi jcu121579 !
Yes, I sent the application by courier where I asked courier for signature requirement of receiver. So, when I track online for to see the delivery of application in the courier website, I saw signed as receiver as LEO BURNS.
If you have written email address on the application, CIO will sent your AOR in your email address, so that you don't have bother about mail.

JCU, if I understood you correctly, you sent your application to CIO on November 17 and you did not mention your email address on the envelope but, you mentioned it in the application right? If thats what it is then, you won't receive your AOR atleast until January 15 and it may take upto Jan 31, 2010. With regards to the email ID, you don't have to mention this on the envelope. What you did is right. As long as you mention your email address in the application, you should receive email with regards to the AOR. Hope this helps. Thank you. |
