Hi Guys,

Following is my ecas status and I am still waiting for medical, wrote to London office couple of times but standard reply that they aren't able to give any fix time when the processing will commence. Wondering if anyone also on similar timeline under category 0213?

We received your application for permanent residence on November 16, 2009.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on January 21, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the London England office on January 27, 2010. The London England office may contact you.

Any one on above timeline?

Cheers,

Chouhan

I'm the the same boat. Wrote to Buffalo in the fall and they said they basically weren't sure what was going to happen because 0213 was not in the new MI. However, on November 16, 2011 eCAS said they transferred my file from Buffalo to New York. I don't know if this means anything other than bureaucratic reshuffling. I hope they wouldn't transfer it unless New York is going to try to process it, but we have no insight into their thinking. Maybe 2012 will bring some good news.

Nothing but rumours at this point. It seems inconceivable to me that it will not reappear at some point though. Now that they have the new new new system in place with caps by NOC, they can put it back with whatever cap they want. I expect if it comes back it will be the first quota filled, so keep an eye open and be ready to submit an app. Under the new ministerial instructions (if I understand them correctly), they will process apps from July 1 with whatever new caps they have until they fill a given quota. Anything IT-related will be swamped with applicants. I personally think 0213 is partly what doomed the old system, there were just so many of us.

They have a huge stockpile of 0213 applicants and they are cautiously issuing visas to those who have experience in CIC's quote " Our mysterious evaluation".  IT is an important part of any economy and they will surely call these people in 2012-2013. Stay hopeful !

Yes, but the NOC is not on the current list, so nobody who is not in the queue can apply right now as 0213. I was told by CIC earlier in September that they "would not process" my application this year. That sounds like a hold to me. However, it does seem like things are moving again for whatever mysterious reasons. Thankfully what is true and annoying one day can change Smiley

It's been a while, but I wanted to update this thread. I just received our medical requests. My file was transferred to New York for processing and they sent the medical soon after. I am an Pre-June 2012 applicant with NOC 0213, so those of you in that boat should not despair.

Last year they made the dramatic (and disheartening) announcement that Pre-June 2012 applicants would not be processed in 2011. What they didn't say was that it would pick up almost immediately in 2012. CIC weirdness.

Anyhow, I hope everyone is moving again if you're one of the older groups of applicants.

Regards,

S
