Dear friends  I applied in 2005  , as a federal skilled worker  from Damascus Syria
Now I received an e mail form the Canadian embassy  saying    that your application was transferred to the Canadian Embassy in ]Warsaw[Poland for processing.  The purpose for this transfer was to expedite the processing of your application
They need all updated documents  also Proof of language proficiency: and processing fees
But  when I applied in 2005 I paid the processing fee  and also the original language IELTS test result to the immigration department in Damascus   !!!!!!!!!!! why they need these again Huh
Is this transfer good or bad for me Huh?? I mean is ts in the right way Huh?
Please any help and thanks in advance

The transfer is neither good news nor bad news. If you have received their response as "this is done in order to expedite processing", then take it as good news.

You will have to update all your documents because they are more than four years old. For example, IELTS results older than one year will not be considered as valid. Perhaps somebody who knows about the old rules may be able to explain why they request the processing fees again.

If I were you, i would do exactly what they have mentioned in their mail. Your objective is to get the Visa, so you should do what they ask, even if extra costs are involved.

Not in the case of CIC if you want to use it to immigrate to Canada.

What Windtunnel has suggested is fine but I'm a bit confused about the fees bit. Are you sure you have been asked for 'processing' fees? Just drop them an email to doubel check with them, or may be include evidance of the previous bank drafts with your detailed documents.

In my view CIC cant ask for processing fee again. Secondly all the old cases filed in Beijing, ISD n New Delhi normally use to take 5-6 yrs n I vent read post of any member regarding re-request of IELTS or processing fee
.In some cases PCCs were requested. It seems tht ur IO has mixed/confused your case with any one else(its my assumption n I might be wrong).Explain your situation to CIC by writing  a letter .
Although in my view the best suggestion can be given by PMM, as he knows all this very well. so address or PM this question to him.
Good luck

I would certainly query the application fee. If you have paid this once then you should not have to pay it again.

Why would you pay processing fee twice? It's outrightly impossible!
Just make a photocopy of the draft you paid in 2005 and any other requested documents.
IELTS is only valid for ONE YEAR for immigration unfortunately. Therefore you must submit a new one as requested.
Good luck.

Hi there,
I think some people are misleading you.
They are asking for updating your application. It means:
1- Every doc/certificate that you have sent before and you are satisfied with (it's valid, updated, unchanged) you don't need to resend it. It's true for education/marriage/previous job certificate...
2- If you have sent your original IELTS before and you are satisfied with the result and you are  sure they have received it, no need to take another exam.
3- If no. of your family member has changed, you have to prepare required docs and pay for the additions... no need to repay!
4- You have to update required forms... no way! and your letter of refrence (work exp. certs)... everything that has changed during this gap only.

Hope this helps.

To amhoseini,
Nobody is misleading this guy.
CIC wants a proof of english language from him with some updated documents like change in family composition etc, this could be that the IELTS that he claimed he submitted never reached there.
They would not have asked for another one if they have received one before.
To ufo,
If you have a copy of the one you sent before, you can re-send it with a cover letter explaining your situation otherwise they will give you no marks for language proficiency am afraid.

(1) It's an easy task here, I guess you have a proof that you actually paid the processing fee. Get a copy of that proof (payment receipt) attach it alongside the other documents requested..You should be having a checkList..

(2) IELTS..since you're of the old rules category..Let me remind you that it stated "IELTS scores if taken within one year of initial application, then the scores remain valid".so if you took the IELTS test and made your initial PR application within a year, then the score is valid irrespective of how long your case has taken. No harm in taking a fresh IELTS test, though.
