My process is a bit complicated can any one advise? Married Canadian citizen March 08

Application started processing and medical results rec'd into POS Aug 26th 09
Letter rec'd to send additional information Sep
Letter rec'd to send original finger prints Nov this was sent mid Nov
To date Jan no reply.

I once stayed in Canada for more than 6 months, and I am assuming the finger prints requested is to check Canada records for criminal records, charges etc.

Anyone know how long this finger printing check process will take?
Also do you think they will call for an interview?

1.  RCMP site states 120 days.  Usually a bit quicker.

Are you in Canada right now? If you are in Canada you can have your fingerprints taken electronically, and the RCMP check will be completed in a couple of days.

nobody can say for sure if you'll be asked to attend the interview or not - it depends how they are satisfied with your file.

Thanks for the replies. I know its only been 2 months since I submitted my finger prints but the time feels like its draging. My file is pretty comprehensive and I don't think they have any reason not to believe or have any doubts about my relationship with my husband. I just wish that I will be one of the 30% cases to process and completed in 6 months.  Smiley
