My wife has been in Canada for over 3 months on a TRV. Is there any chance they would waive the 2 month waiting period for new immigrants since she's already been living in Canada? I just found out a week ago my wife is pregnant so having BC health insurance as soon is possible would be great. I looked into private insurance for the time being but it appears that none of them cover care due to pregnancy.

She can't get health insurance while she is on a TRV.  Are you sponsoring her?  I don't think they would waive the waiting period but you would have to deal with them directly.

The pregnancy is not an emergency or unexpected event.
I won't be covered any insurance company.

The exception a student insurance for term one year or longer.
It starts to work after 9 months living in Canada with such insurance.

Nobody is willing get paid $300 with paying back $2,000 or more in return.
