Anxious about getting on the plane tomorrow - help!!!

Tomorrow my husband is returning to England for his mothers' 90th birthday.  I am hoping for some reasurance that his return will be ok.  He is currently on a temporary resident status that expires this October.  We are still doing the paperwork for permanent.  Would it be helpful to take our marriage certificate with him for his return entry for immigration?  I know that it is discretionary whether they allow him back in - but do they have a heart?  His mothers' birthday in England is important - his marriage in Canada is important - I'm concerned of the impact to us all if he is denied entry because of someone having a bad day at work at immigration.  If you have any knowledge - experience (good or bad) with a similiar situation - I would be relieved and appreciative.

Fear of the unknown is a stressful thing.

Many visa-exempt spouses have left and returned with few issues.  If you've paid the fees already, give him a copy of the receipt.  Otherwise, he should just be honest and answer what is asked of him by the officer at the POE.

I had the same issue.

I had to return to England as my mother was diagnosed with cancer. I had applied for PR inland, and they did recommend that I did not leave. I was in England for 3 months and was so nervous about not being able to get back in.

The IO asked me what was the purpose of my visit, I told them im here to see my wife.

How long? 3 months.

How much money do u have?

And that was it she stamped my passport and let me through.

Your husband shouldnt have a problem being let back in
