This means CIC will process remaining pre-june applicants over next 2 years. So, many of pre-june applicants will have to wait for 1 year and more for their case to reach decision. Am I correct?

It could be same as last year.

High level quota for 2012 is same as 2011.

Projected Admissions                                                                                                       Low        High
Federal Selected Economic Programs, Provincial/Territorial Nominees, Family, Refugees and Others 206,500  228,300
Quebec Selected Skilled Worker                                                                                         31,000    34,000
Quebec Business                                                                                                             2,500      2,700
TOTAL                                                                                                                          240,000   265,000

Lst year they issued 17500 for FSW to London. Well the inventory of Pre june 2010 is 44k at London as of June 2011. How can they elimnate this in two years if they issue same quota for this year and the next. There are applicants from Pre Nov 2008, MI2 MI3 . It seems we are in deep .....They have fully messed up with our applications. So frustrating. Angry Sad

I believe that that few thousand would receive visa in 2011 out 44 k while remaining 80%  would be  in next 2 years while the remaining next years !
I strongly believe that the visa quote for FSW should be increased for 2012 by cutting the quota from other categories !

Personally I dont think so. May be in Singapore office, they dont have much applications. But for London they have messed up.

azmat and eemoo,

Minister Kenney is thinking about reducing the Family and parents class quota and increase the FSW intake. they are fast working on backlogs and their will have clearly been depicted by the reduced cap announced in 2011 which was 20,000 in 2010. lots to happen in 2012.

true, it is clearly saying:
While wait times have and will continue to rise for applicants under the first set of Ministerial Instructions of november 2008, this temporary situation will subside as the inventory of some 136,000 people under this stream is processed over the next two years

Annual quota for FSW is 55000 which includes MI-2 and MI-3 as well, i don't understand how will they clear 136000 cases in two years.
