I agree most people on here are being biased because they are waiting I am up for a 17mth wait and i still will vote conservatives as I knew going into this I have to wait NDP will bankrupt the country they cannot balance the book and their priorities are the elderely, the liberals went soft on crime juveniles killing people getting off is BS again take immigration out and look at the bigger picture

NDP and Liberal promise all sorts of wonderful things... what you need to ask yourselves is "how do they propose to pay for them?" Taxing the rich? Wealth redistribution? not the answer!

Precisely... NDP will bankrupt the country because they are not experienced enough to run a majority government. They focus on family sure.... but what about us who are just starting our families... we have to think of the future folks.

Liberals have already shown their true colours... tax tax and more tax.. and who do they tax??? Sure isn't the CEO making 2 million a year!! I have seen nothing but my bills go up in the last year thanks to Liberals HST... no raise in wages for 3 years... live in the city with the highest unemployment rate of any city in Canada...

No my favorite are NOT Conservative... but better the devil you know than the devil you dont!!

Silly! I don't think people say it's because of immigration that they would not vote conservative. This whole country has been going downhill and has been feeling the negative effects of this conservative government and their stupid decisions they arbitrarily make. Yea we won't vote Conservative because we're so affected by the long waits at Immigration Canada!?? Give me a break! There's way more to it than that. I'm from BC, so yea I know that if it wasn't for my MP who is also NDP, I'd be pretty well hooped. Who would I even call? I might have never found out what was going on.
Aside from Immigration people realize who is on the side of families, and it's certainly not the Conservative Government.

It's about like the Republicans and Democrats in the US.

If they'd just work together, it'd run a lot smoother. But each on their own is going to leave one group or area (healthcare, immigration, taxes, etc) in a bad way. IMO, they all suck.

I stayed in Taksim with my wife...Taksim Square was only 5 minutes away from where we stayed. I went with my wife on a honeymoon there from Karachi, Pakistan. I went to sultanhamet and saw Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar (I ripped the shopkeeper off lol), Eminonu, Yeni Mosque, Sulemaniya Mosque. I also went to bosphorus cruise from marmara to black sea...then to asian side...kadikoy...also went to buyukada princess islands...then went to dolhambache palace near kabatas port...i ripped off a cab driver cuz he didn't know how to speak english....hahaha...stayed for a week and at the end me and my wife figured out the tram system...

I m now in Toronto...wife in Karachi, Pakistan....it is for no reason taking too long to process our application...i hate the conservative govt...maximum time for pakistan is 24 months...my file was received by Islamabad in Feb 2011 and they still haven't touched it. This is what's happening to pakistani people at the canadian embassy.

Regardless, Taksim Square is a party HUB!!!

Yeah, CIC is really slow. They need to come up with a better system of processing cases because even simple cases take them forever. I think not only parents/grandparents are dying during the waiting process but also some relationships. The whole government is inefficient and this also reflects on the immigration.
