I'm American and I'm living in the USA with my American born baby. Her Dad, my soon to be ex husband, is Canadian.

I recently found out that his Mom, who lives in Canada, has been trying to secretly file for my daughter's dual citizenship and passport to try and have her come to Canada for a "visit". I don't think she can file for any of that without my signature, but I would like to verify that.

If anyone has info for me, please let me know! TIA

Even so your daughter can still use her american passport for travelling to Canada

She doesn't have an American passport yet.
