American work in Canada for a U.S. company?

Hello,
I'm a Canadian citizen who owns a media company with an American partner. Most of our operations are U.S.-based, and we operate as an LLC out of California. By all accounts we are an American company. I live in Ontario, and regularly shoot news/editorial videos with my Canadian team about new consumer products. The material is journalistic in nature and not for entertainment. There is an American journalist we'd like to hire to serve as the presenter for these videos. We would like him to be able to move to Toronto if possible.
Is there a type of visa that would allow an American citizen to come and live in Canada to do this type of work for a U.S. company? To be clear, there is no Canadian company involved. This would be a U.S. citizen working and living in Canada, performing duties for an American company, with all payments coming from the United States.
To further complicate the matter, this journalist also works as a self-employed computer systems administrator. He would have to be able to continue to do this work for U.S. clients only (no Canadian clients) while living in Canada.
He is 35-40 years old, has a bachelors degree, and has length experience both as a self-employed freelance journalist and as a systems administrator.
Do any of you have a recommendation for a way to approach this issue?
