My youngest daughter will be born in the USA, I was born and work in Canada. She will come home with me from the hospital, we will be driving across the border, into Canada, what will I need to show for ID? she won't have a birth certificate yet, will the signed forms from the hospital  be ok?

Proof that she is your daughter, proof of your citizenship.  You will have to apply for proof of her citizenship.  See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/proof.asp
Excellent chance that she will be admitted.
