The Canada Govt Immigration website shows that my application was first received by them on April 8, 2010 and below is the exact message:
"We received your application for permanent residence on April 8, 2010". So does that mean I won't be affected by 26 June 2010 change of rule?

I am not sure about this, can someone please confirm this for me or help me in doing it. Thanks.

No, as it was received prior to 26/06/10.

New list of acceptable occupations, it doesn't effect you.
