Dear Sir,
I applied for Canadian immigration in 2008. Fortunately or unfortunately my case comes under previous policy cause I applied in the start of March and in end March the policy was changed. So now I have to wait for almost 5 years for the processing of my case. Any how after submitting the case I got the reply that they selected my case and revert me as soon as case starts. Recently I saw my case status on cic website which shows that my case now forward to UK London office on 27th of Jan 2011 and London office will contact to me. Can you explain me the reason for this? do I have to go to UK for the interview? please advice

No you do not need to go to London. Your file was sent to Visa Office London because the Canadian Visa Office in your country say Pakistan if you applied from Pakistan does not operate any more to process any applications in Pakistan. If they call you for interview which they do not intend to in most of the cases, You will be invited somewhere in Pakistan where CHC official conduct an interview on VO London behalf. Or Visa Office London can also call you for a telephonic interview or inquiry etc.

ya that's right, interview is rare anyway but if you do get interview call, it'll be in Pakistan.
