Hi,

I have completed my 1 year studies in canada (1 year stay in canada). Before coming to canada i had working experience.
Software programmer.

Do i still need to be in 38 occupation list eventhough i completed 1 year stay in canada.
If yes, which NOC i come under.

Please advice.

Thank You,

the question is very basic.

recommend you to go through www.cic.gc.ca. Federal Skilled Worker section.

pls ask questions if you have more doubt.

for the record... FSW Cat 3 is Federal Skilled Worker category for immigration application for ppl living in Canada for at least 1 year on student or worker visa

Hi Aanbaan,

if i satisfy condition 1( because i am a student currently living in canada for more than 1 year)
then i do not need to satisfy condition 2 but i will need to satisfy condition 3.

Condition 2 is only for skilled workers..

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Please correct me if i am wrong.

you must meet all 3 conditions....

you should have at least 1 year work-ex maybe even before your canadian education to apply under FSW. If not, then find a job and work in it or 1 year continuously.

No...

it needs to be under skill level 0 or skill type A or B

i.e. the NOC code should either start with 0 OR the second digit should be 1, 2 or 3

Thank You,

Man read the thing up carefully and thoroughly.
Like aanbaan said, your questions are basic and the CIC web-site has the answers.

Hi,

i did go through the website.
above Aanban has mentioned that my skills do not need come under 38 occupation list, and then he said •your work experience must be Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification list.

Do i need to keep 0213 in that case. Because i have 2 year work experience(computer programmer before coming to canada).
But i do not have managerial level skills. That is what my concern.

Thank You,
