I was born in 1985 and I am a British national who's father was born in Canada in 1951. I am wanting to find out whether I am eligible to claim dual citizenship.

As I said my father was born in Canada in 1951, he then moved to England where I was born in 1985. My father doesn't have a Canadian passport or anything, but I have been told that I may still be eligible as he was born in Canada? If I can how do I begin the application process?

Start by using this tool to determine if you qualify for Canadian citizenship:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/rules/index.asp

If the results of the quiz are positive - you will be provided with further instructions on what to do next.
