am i allowed to work? lcp

hi everybody.
my work permit for my current employer will expire on november and they dont have the intention to renew it anymore but luckily i found a new employer and the lmo is on process now. my questions are:

im planning to submit my pr and open work permit on the end of the month, will this make me work legally for my current employer even until my wp expired for them? is this like an implied status?

and can i submit my application for new work permit for my new employer even without lmo? because as cic said i have to renew it at least 30 days before my current wp expires. and am not very sure when will be my new lmo arrives. or its still ok to wait for the lmo because i still have an "implied status" with my current employer (question 1)
