Alternative to transcript.

Hello Good people,


    I managed to get “ To whom it may concern” from the university where I finished my masters degree, will that surffice instead of my transcript?the to whom it may concern has my Cgpa and that the university is still workin on my transcript/certificate. I have also written the IELTS exam and waiting for the results,I am left with Bank statements and pcc.
I also have one more thing that needs clarification,does my siblings need to fill any form and add there passportphotograph?  Will appreciate your responses.

No, it's won't suffice.  Either transcript or Master degree certificate.  Why your sibling need to fill forms and add photographs?  Not clear.

This option can be only utilized if

1) You are still in the program or
2) the degree has not been awarded

but still they need transcript of progrss with the letter

 @ Steaky,Many thanks for the response, I just want to clarify  if my Brothers and Sisters too need to fill any form or submit passport photos?

 @  Zulkfal, I finished the programme last year and I have since  paid for the masters transcript, they are promising end of July and I want send my application end of May. Does it matter if my undergraduate transcript is addressed to a local university because I had say I needed it for a Doctoral programme here in my country before I was given?

I don't think it will be a problem, I recently sent my updated transcripts to Buffalo and the envelope had my address on that. the important thing is that transcripts should be sealed. unsealed transcripts are not official.

 @ Zulkfal, Thanks for the prompt response, can I go ahead and send my application with the intention that my masters degree transcript will be sent as soon as I get it? Or should I just write a cover letter with?

just clear one thing where these things are heading visa office or CIO? if CIO then wait as if you send you transcript later the identification of your application will be difficult.
if VO then I will say do it, it will save you time. I did the same mistake for IELTS, and submitted my app a week before 120 days deadline and this delayed my app be 6-7 months as people who sent their docs to Buffalo in Jan-2010 already got their visa last year and I just did my medicals. My Cap has gotten to 800, I don't want to delay further, I am waiting for my IELTS results on friday, pcc for monday and bank statements for tuesday. Wish me luck!

Go ahead, try one thing write a explanatory letter, and then send the transcript when you rcv it with another letter which contain your identification info and a copy of your passport. Good luck
