All those worried for Accommodation (January Intake-2012)

enfield  ..the best option for us is to book a motel from here for around 5 - 6 days ...

and in these days ..we have to arrange accommodation by visiting the places which are available for rent ..while we are in canada  ...

i have already tried that..they have given the name of the accommodation rental places..but when we contact those people , they say ..they need us to come to canada and show ourselves up ..they say they want references and they also want to see .. that how will we mix up with other tenants..and only than we can get a room..

guess all this can happen only after we land and not from here... many landlords who give places on rent for a month or more..require personal attendance to get the room..

also very few are willing to hire room for shorter duration ..say a week .


finally..we just need a motel to sort things out..and than show up at rental places and only than we can get a room for longer duration... what you say ...

Yes, I am also wondering where to stay.

Even after spending hours n hours on kijiji (really do not understand the meaning of kijiji), I got nothing. No one is even replying back Yes, I got one call but the condition was to stay with two Taiwanese girls in a shared house (Rent CAD 520/month), considering too much risk involved, I decided not to go ahead.

Well, I am still searching. If anyone is heading for BC, we can make a group. Please be in touch. I am very good in cooking, so you don't need to worry for that. A World class chef is for free

You deserve better, you got your visa so smoothly................My suggestion for you guys, do not look for hotels and motels. Look for Backpackers Hostel or Lodge  Backpackers are normally near to down town, you can find dorms bed, twin bed room with private bath, kitchen, you can use for free of cost,a living room. And a great place to be, where you can meet all sorts of nice people . I think you might have read,Canada is very cold country. This is my experience. These days, you can pay with Indian credit card,ask your bank.I used my Indian credit card while traveling abroad.

No i havent got the visa yet...but expecting to get it by the end of December INSHALLAH. I am going to Montreal for M.A(Eco) from Concordia University. Lets do somethng about it as all the websites are nothing but crap.....
