Arjun..you are providing a wrong information..Employer ref letters needs to be a photocopy not original. Check the latest checklist. You seem to be referring to the old checklist which required originals of the ref letter...thanks..

Asking this again. Somewhere someone said that documents dont need to be stapled. However documents like work contracts are having more than 15 pages...if we leave such documents unbound; wouldn't this cause confusion with the CIC? Please suggest.

Hello KAS,

In my country, its not common for employer to put salary and job desc. Therefore, I request my former employer to redo my work reference letter to add my main duties, salary and work hour.

Now, my question is, what date should we put in the "redo" reference letter? should we backdated it or simply ask my employer to print the date they issue the letter (today date)

Also, I dont have any contract letter. I hope work reference letter is sufficed.

My bad double checked this is correct you just need to send copies for now  ( but they may ask for the originals later )

Hello everyone..
Regarding fee payment, I have a "Demand Draft" that reads:
On demand pay to the "Receiver General for Canada" (amount in Canadian Dollar)

Then in the footer it says:

To:
4/F HSBC Bank Canada bldg
70 York Street
Toronto, Ontario M5J 1S9
Canada

Payable at any branch of the HSBC Bank Canada

Will that work?? Does anyone know for sure that demand drafts are accepted?

hi Farhan

i got my employment contract and the dec 2008  salary slip its just for one month which i found will that be enough as it was a small hospital of multan the payment mode was cash so will that be enough with the experience letter

the number of hospital is there they can confirm that from emloyer

any comments

cheers

Well Sahar,
they require your pay stubs (not mandatory, but as supplement to the information) only to check / determine the authenticity of your claim of employment, no matter it is in big organization or in small organization. the main work has to be done by your contract letter (s) and job reference letter (having information regarding your work nature, your job duties, hours of work per week and specific time frame on each position you have had at each position). so sending them pay stub (s) is a good idea, but for sure they won't count it for point calculation, rather just to evaluate your claim that you'd worked in certain organization (that you might have claimed in Schedule 3).
concluding, send the pay stub.
One forum member is 100% right, you must be needing your bank statement / or certification from bank that you're maintaining bank account and having required funds in ur account.

job reference letter from all of your previous 10 years, must be sent in "photocopy". Originals may be requested later by visa officer...

the better idea would be to ask the bank (where u r maintaining your account) for issuing you "Bank Account Maintenance Certificate" . That certificate, contains your name, your NIC, address and the amount in your account.
Have that certificate from your bank, get it attach with your application and send to CIO...........cheers...by the way, I'm also doing the same...
