foruaks,
I would suggest to go for regulatory body as u belong to such profession. After getting pr you would require same evaluation to work in your profession.it solves both purpose. Check out how long your assesment is valid .pharmacy i think for 5years though nt sure.

Thanks Farhan ... Just one question, do I need to assess my credentials from regulatory authority or any other assessment authority will be fine?

for all regulated professions, it must be pertinent regulatory body.

My husband and I are interested in applying for the Canadian PR visa
under Federal Skilled Programme this July,2012. Request you to please
provide provide clarity on the below mentioned queries of ours:

1. If husband and wife both are working in professions coming under
the federal skilled programme but husband has more years of experience
and so he applies as the primary applicant, will the wife be
considered as dependent in the application and in that case will she
get the right to apply for a job in Canada on getting the PR visa?

2. The proof of funds required to be shown, can they be shown in the
wife's name even if the primary applicant is the husband?

3. Does only the primary applicant require to give the proof of
language test such as IELTS or even the spouse requires to give it?

Please provide replies to the above queries at the earliest as clear
information on the above is not given on the website.

Hi Khushi, as far as my knowledge is concerned, the answers to your queries are as follows:

1. If husband and wife both are working in professions coming under the federal skilled programme but husband has more years of experience and so he applies as the primary applicant, will the wife be considered as dependent in the application and in that case will she get the right to apply for a job in Canada on getting the PR visa?
Answer=> Yes. After getting the PR, both of you can apply for jobs in Canada.

2. The proof of funds required to be shown, can they be shown in the wife's name even if the primary applicant is the husband?
Answer=> Yes. you may.

3. Does only the primary applicant require to give the proof of language test such as IELTS or even the spouse requires to give it?
Answer=> Only primary applicant will do, but if you are claiming any point for the qualification of the secondary applicant, then proof of language is required for both of you.

Please.....masters of the threads....correct me if I am wrong.... Grin

As far as proof of fund ,try to change your account to joint account as soon possible.A positive and authenticate view by cic on your relationship.ielts only for principal
Applicant.you must get your transcript from uni as dependant to gain point for spouse education.
