how it will be better if the official cic responses to applicants who applied before 2008 is that
(thety will not process any for the next 2 years ) meaning no applications processed at 2011 and (2012)

for example in syria they reached septemeber 2006 and they got updates but for an october 2006 if things go well he will be updated at begning of 2013 and this will take another year -2 years for medicals and security and visa so if he is lucky he would reach canada 2014/2015!!!

In my opinion

As you can see CIC has limited the number of applications accepted this year to 1o.ooo applications which give the backlog a very strong opportunities

at the same time Canada wants to finish the backlog as soon as possible because the bad reputation around the world of this long delays

I think 2012 will be our lucky year and the process will speed up and there are a big debate about whether CIC will accept any applications after July 2012 or no

and all these procedures I think are good for us

I have sent an email to CHC London on Monday and yesterdayI got a response from London office

Dear Sir,

This is in response to your enquiry.

Your documents have been received and placed on file. No further action is required by you at this time.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
